Our family just spent two nights at Buffalo Safari Lodge. At first we were quite impressed, that we were upgraded to a deluxe family suite. We were happy with the rooms that are large, spacious and stylish, however there could be more attention to detail in such a place. For example, it was a shame to see how much blue toilet cleaner is flushed right into the surrounding nature. The bathrooms lacked some basic things like hooks and cloth hanging areas. The restaurant area was quite plain, and we were honestly quite disappointed by the food. It seemed that quantity weighed higher than quality, and there were some funky mixes of local and western-type foods. Most of the food was quite oily. There was a real espresso machine, but no one knew how to use it well. Generally, we expected a lot more for a place in that price range. The staff are kind and very attentive, but it does get a bit much and rehearsed when both waiter, host and chef will come to check on you at every meal. You will also barely finish your food, before the plates are cleared creating the feeling that you should hurry up to finish. The staff, especially Charity, was very helpful when we had a sick child on our last day, and she arranged for us to eat in our room. The surroundings and the pool is nice, and we almost saw as many animals from here as in one of our game drives. The place has a lot of potential, but at the moment it is not value for money. With a bit more attention to detail and a bit of work on the food it would be a very nice place.

I loved my stay here. Excellent service from Mathew the Chef, Joan, Charity, and Eliud. The security guards are excellent. I will definitely come back again.

Everything was perfect! We spent 3 nights at the Buffalo Safari Lodge for our honey moon. From the beginning the staff was very nice and everyone was introducing themselves and remembering our names and preferences. Rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated. Bathroom with shower and tub (hot water sometimes too hot). Bottled water for brushinh your teeth. At night they arrange mosquito nets and spray. Food is excellent, always a veggie choice, beverages served too warm though. Many breakfast options such as poached eggs. The infinity pool is a highlight, you can easily observe animals by the water pond that's close by. Many birds fly around all day. It's so green, all the lodges are on their own and just in the middle of nature. At night security accompanies you to your lodge. The very best: As it was our honey moon one night candles and flowers let us the way to our dinner spot. They put our names on the table with flowers and even wrote us a very heartwarming card. The staff put so much effort into it: it was stunning! There is one elephant visiting the lodge quite often: Mr. John. We've seen him eating and just being around! He was taking the same path as we were. Amazing experience! Highly recommend the Buffalo Safari Lodge!
